Father's Day

Aaron and Helena pose for a picture with Daddy. This is the only picture we have of everyone looking in the same direction at the same time!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Our New Place

Grandma and Grandpa bought Aaron and Helena a new house to play in. Helena loves to go in and out of the door, while Aaron enjoys "talking" on the phone and ringing the doorbell. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Anybody Home?

"What are you doing out there?"

Cleaning Up

Utensils

This week was the first time Aaron has taken interest in using a bowl and spoon to eat his food. Usually any bowl or plate ends up thrown on the floor with food splattered all over! Here is Aaron's first attempt at eating macaroni with a spoon from a bowl.

Not too bad....for his first try!

Helena, on the other hand, quickly threw her spoon onto the floor. She liked the idea of a bowl holding all of her food, so she held onto it. As you can see, she did just fine eating her dinner!

"Mmmmmm......Macaroni!"

Hot and Humid Weather

The last few days have been hot and humid here in Connecticut. Aaron and Helena have been trying to beat the heat with all of their swimming contraptions. On the days we can't make use of Grandma and Grandpa's pool, the kiddie pool and other toys that involve water serve as a great substitute.

"Oh! The water is cold!"

Party at the Lake

This past weekend we celebrated cousin Madeline's first birthday on Lake Congamond in Southwick, MA. Since Aaron and Helena have never been to the beach before, this was their first experience with sand and water other than the bath tub or a swimming pool. They both loved every minute!

Aaron and Helena have fun bouncing around. They particularly enjoyed climbing in and out.

Aaron decides that sand is not something he enjoys!

Fourteen Months

Aaron and Helena are fourteen months old today! They are both walking now and they love to explore! A favorite game of theirs is to point to their eyes, nose, head and ears when Mommy and Daddy say the words. Both Aaron and Helena now have a few words in their vocabulary too. They can both say Dada, Mama and Dog. They are very curious about the world around them and point to all different types of things so they can hear us say the words. Now that summer is almost here, Aaron and Helena also love to play in the water. They are not afraid to splash around and get wet! It will be a fun summer!

Memorial Day

We spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa's house this Memorial Day. It was a beautiful warm and sunny day. Aaron and Helena had a great time playing with their cousins and trying out the new swimming pool.

Fun in the Sun: Our First Family Trip to Florida

Aaron and Helena rode on a plane for the first time last week to go and spend some time with their Farmor and Farfar in Florida. We all had a great time together. While it was a bit of a challenge for Aaron and Helena to sit on the plane, it was well worth all of the fun and sun we enjoyed during our visit! Thank you Farmor and Farfar!!

Aaron and Helena decide to remove all of the Tupperware from Farmor's cabinet to have a little fun of their own.

Aaron and Helena feel very differently about visiting Cypress Gardens. Aaron loved looking at all of the people passing by and the muscians playing music. Helena, on the other hand, was very overwhelmed at first.

Helena decided she wanted to get out of the pool by herself, with some help by Farmor of course!

Visiting Farmor and Farfar in Florida

Aaron and Helena loved to play with the door stops that bounced back and forth when they pulled them. They would race back and forth to make them bounce. It was quite entertaining for the adults to watch as well!

Helena and Aaron ride their very first ride at Cypress Gardens. Here, Mommy and Farmor took the twins on the train.

The Merry GoRound was Aaron's favorite ride during our visit to Cypress Gardens. Helena was a bit overwhelmed by the whole experience.

Thirteen Months

Aaron and Helena helped their cousin Ainsley celebrate her first birthday this weekend. During the celebration, Aaron began to realize that walking may be the fastest way to get around. He impressed everyone with his new found walking skills. Helena has started to take a few steps and is very proud of herself. I am sure she will be chasing after her brother in no time! Other news this month, Aaron has two of his one year molars and two more are starting to break through! Their favorite foods now are bananas and Gardenburgers. The doctor gave them a very enthusiastic thumbs up at their one year appointment. They are now healthy toddlers!
