Birthday Party Celebration

This past weekend we celebrated Aaron and Helena's third birthday at Stay and Play. They were joined by their cousins and a few friends from school. It was so much fun to see them play and interact with one another. At the end of the day they both told us how much fun their special day was!

We still use the baker who made our wedding cake to help us with special celebrations. She runs You Take the Cake in New London, CT and her cakes are fabulous. Of course it had to be Dora and Diego this time around!

Opening gifts. We loved watching their expressions as they opened their presents.

Helena's most favorite present, a rain umbrella. A big thank you to Aunt Kristie who found the cutest personalized umbrellas for both Aaron and Helena!

Easter

We had a busy but fabulous Easter this year. In addition to celebrating Easter, we also celebrated Aaron and Helena's third birthday. We started the day with Scott's sister and her family. We had a nice breakfast and egg hunt out in the yard. Aaron and Helena opened some of their birthday gifts also. Later in the day, we traveled to Stacie's Mom and Dad's house where the kids had another egg hunt, more presents and cake.

Natalie is 2 months old!

Natalie is now 2 months old and she has changed so much since she was born. She now weighs 11 pounds, 13 ounces and is 22 1/4 inches long. She is beginning to sleep in longer increments and will smile at us from time to time. Aaron and Helena love caring for her even though Aaron often reports, "Her cries a lot!"

A Touch of Spring

We spent the entire weekend outdoors last weekend as the temperature came close to 70 here in Connecticut. Aaron and Helena have taken a big interest in trying to ride their tricycles. Helena worked very hard to try and master the peddles. Aaron, on the other hand, had better things to spend his time on like picking up leaves and pinecones. It felt great to be outside and the kids slept great!

Siblings

Below are the three Anderson children at six weeks old. The first is Natalie, followed by Helena and Aaron. Who does Natalie most resemble? We think she is a great combination of both.

Six Weeks

Natalie is six weeks old this week. She is starting to pick up her head and hold herself up when we hold her. Helena loves to get right down and play with Natalie when she is on her play mat. Natalie is awake more often now and Aaron and Helena enjoy reading and singing to her when she is not sleeping.

1 Month Old

Natalie is one month old. She now weighs 8 lbs.14oz and is 21 inches long. We are really are enjoying our time with her. It is amazing how quickly one forgets this tiny stage and we are constantly reminded of all of the little things we experienced with Aaron and Helena like the little poses and smiles a newborn makes when sleeping.

Natalie-2 weeks old

Natalie is two weeks old this week. Her most recent visit to the doctor revealed that she is now back at her birthweight and she is growing as she should be. We are all doing well and adjusting to life as a family of five!

Family introductions

Natalie meets family members as they come to visit in the hospital. Natalie even got to meet her Uncle Marc and cousins, Sydney and Cole, from Colorado at the same time Aaron and Helena met them for the first time.
