Happy 1/2 Birthday!

It's hard to believe that just six short months ago, Aaron and Helena entered the world and changed our lives completely. After 38+ weeks in utero, Aaron and Helena came into our world and changed it forever! We are so blessed that they are both very healthy and continue to grow at a generous pace. It is funny how they change from day to day. They could not be more different in personality, yet they enjoy each other's company and find comfort in one another's babbles and cries. Six months later we find that they look different, sound different, move different and love differently. Our hearts could not be more full! We look forward to all of the treasures that lay ahead.
Aaron Elias
Aaron was born with a fierce personality. It is very clear when he is happy and when he is upset. An upset Aaron is hard to miss! Since birth he has had a very distinctive cry that snowballs into a very red face and blood curdling scream if not attended to immediately. Having a twin sister has helped him to learn patience over the last six months. Still, it has been hard for Mommy and Daddy to see their little boy so upset at times. Aaron has a smile that will light up the room! He is very ticklish and his belly laugh will bring cheer to the gloomiest mood. Aaron's favorite food to date is pears, followed by avocado and peaches. His first tooth appeared three weeks ago, with his second following one week later. We are going to miss that toothless grin! Having mastered rolling both ways he is moving onto scooting. A favorite method of travel now is laying on his back and pushing off backward with his feet. He gets a big kick out of himself. Aaron is also perfecting his music skills by actively playing the bongos! His love for this instrument has helped him learn to sit up all by himself. He also shows great interest in the piano, however the location closer to the floor continues to present a challenge. Aaron loves to hear his voice, he practices every morning by talking to his animals as he wakes. Mommy and Daddy appreciate his views of the world as well, it saves us having to remember to set an alarm for the morning.

Helena Sarah
Helena is a kind and gentle soul. She likes to sit back and take everything in. Her eyes are bright blue like sapphires. Mommy and Daddy are still surprised that they have not changed. She can thank her Farfar and Great Grandpa Keeney for such beautiful eyes! Since birth, Helena has been a calm and patient girl. She loves to look at people and has perfected giving raspberries to just about anyone who passes her by! Helena has also mastered rolling both ways and is working hard to be just as good as her brother at sitting up alone. Daddy swears she wants to be an ear, nose and throat doctor when she grows up, since she loves to grab at all three! Peaches are Helena's most favorite food with pears, apples and peas coming in close behind. Helena is beginning to like the sound of her voice as well. Morning chats with her brother are now becoming a ritual in the Anderson home. Her favorite toy is her jumperoo, although she can't jump quite as high as Aaron, she gets in a great workout! No teeth yet for Miss Helena! If the large amounts of drool she decorates her clothes with is any indication, they should show themselves any day.
